PRIVATE HOUSES:

Denfield Steading, Arbroath

The House is part of a group of four dwellings sitting on the footprint of the previous farm buildings.

The House is a simple rectangle in plan with an open and airy ground floor plan incorporating a raised circulation walkway formerly used by the farmer to fill the feeding troughs which have been retained externally as a water feature linked to the attenuation pond. The ground floor contains spacious open plan dining and family living areas, whilst a chunky timber stair leads to the upper level accommodation.

The original post and beam structure was infilled with glass its entire length linking the internal living spaces with the garden courtyard.
