05 DSC_0527March 2018 –  The Leaf Room at Ninewells Hospital has been awarded a National award in the Scottish Civic Trust ‘My Place’ Award at a ceremony in Glasgow, for the best new building, public realm or designed landscape or heritage restoration project in Scotland.

“The Scottish Civic Trust My Place Awards recognise projects that have had a positive impact in a local neighbourhood and have delivered positive benefits to that community. The My Place Awards are unique in Scotland in that they are a national celebration of good local design and conservation projects, nominated and evaluated by local people & supported by the Scottish Government, for the benefit of the communities and places of Scotland.”


12 DSCN0245Sept – Nov 2017 – The Leaf Room in Ninewells was awarded a 2017 Commendation from Dundee Civic Trust in September for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Townscape of Dundee.’

In November it also received a commendation at the Dundee Institute of Architect’s annual awards in the ‘Best Small Project‘ (Non Domestic) Category. Great achievement and well done to all the team who worked on this.

And also this month our house design at Denfield Steading made it to the finals of the ‘Build It Awards 2017’ for best self-build project in the UK!



Nov 2016 – Our competition winning Leaf Room in Ninewells was officially opened by Shona Robison MSP.

Looking forward to some warmer weather so those sliding folding doors can be opened up!  Thanks to all the team who worked so hard on the project, which we are very pleased with. Some comments from our client have been:

“The Leaf Room looks beautiful and is such a great asset to the garden. It enjoys the huge benefits a nice warm fully accessible garden room will offer all year round.”

04 DSC_0070Sept 2016 – Our Walled Garden house in Pittrichie has been awarded a commendation from Aberdeenshire Council at their Bi-Annual awards ceremony for ‘Innovative Sustainable Development.’ Our client is elated with their finished Eco-House which they picked up at the awards ceremony in Banchory:

“The Voigt Partnership helped to transform our dreams into plans, and plans into a finished building. They supported us through the whole process from concepts to completion.”


IanRobertsonDentalSurgery-12Aug 2016 – Our Dental Surgery project completed and the professional photographs look stunning! Carefully chosen ‘teeth chairs’ and an aquarium child smile room specially for kids help create a unique and special  environment. The surgery is now fully opened and client is delighted with the result:

“We are hugely grateful to the highly skilled team who have worked so hard to create such an innovative and impressive practice.”

May 2016
 – Our Sandy loan Development in Broughty Ferry has been shortlisted in the Scottish Home Awards 2016 ‘private affordable housing development’ section.

The awards, which highlight excellence in building, design, marketing and customer care across the house building industry, will be presented as part of a glittering awards celebration on Thursday 16 June at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

DSC_1602Nov 2015 – We were fortunate enough to win two awards at last night’s Dundee Architect’s Dinner: The Leaf Room project For the Best Project on the Drawing Board; and the Flats in Arbroath got a commendation for Best Group of Houses! Very chuffed. Well done to the whole team and all the other award winners. Some amazing buildings on show last night, lots of quality work going on in Tayside. Page 2July 2015 –EXCITING NEWS – The Voigt Partnership are delighted to have been successful in winning a national Architecture Competition to design a garden room at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Judging took place on 22nd July 2015 where we were announced as overall winners and invited to develop our designs into a reality.

The leaf room is inspired from a natural form helping to connect the building to the garden it serves. We look forward to working closely with the client so this exciting proposal can be fully realised and compliment the fantastic community garden at Ninewells (Click here for link to A+DS website).

Our Application for a modern expansion to a Dental Surgery In Arbroath has now been approved by the Planning department only a month after it was submitted! (record timing). The Festival, designed to boost confidence and understanding of our built environment, seeks to make a lasting difference to Scottish communities. It will inform all of Scotland’s people of the economic and social benefits of good architecture. It will also support Scotland’s ambitions as a player on the architectural world stage.

Nov 2014 – We won two awards at last night’s Dundee Institute of Architects Awards dinner: award for best ‘on the drawing board’ project for our designs for a new house in Lunanbank, and also a commendation for ‘best small project’ for a small extension in Dundee. Well chuffed!

The project and awards were featured in several local newspapers as well as making onto the front page of the Arbroath Herald!

Voigt DIA Entry 2014

Nov. 2014 – We submitted six of our projects for Dundee Institute of Architect’s Awards, that are being decided this Thursday night! A few of these even made it onto the shortlist and have been visited by the judges! Fingers crossed….






05Oct 2014 – Two big planning applications submitted today via EPlanning! One for 49 houses in Inverkeilor, and the other for 100 flats in Dundee. Both of these high profile projects were featured in the local press (and STV!). Eplanning is a fast efficient way of submitting planning applications online and saves our client’s time and money! Aug. 2012 – Quayside Marina Demolition works have started on site, and there is currently a high profile marketing campaign including features in the local press.
